We aim to give students who are planning to be teachers an understanding of theoretical concepts underpinning teaching methodology as well as practical teaching experience. All "Lehramt" students take a lecture introducing the subject. Subsequently, various Proseminare and Übungen/Fachdidaktik courses are offered to encourage students to make the connection between theory and practice. In addition, all students take both a 4-week practical in schools and a semester-long practical. Both of these courses are accompanied by seminars taught by practicing schoolteachers.
