Your Studies

Study Programs

We offer the BA program "English: Linguistics, Literatures, and Cultures" (formerly known as "World English, Literatures and Cultures") as well as the full range of degrees for prospective school teachers. As of WS 2012/13, those are: LS1+2, LS1, LPS1, LAB (in addition to the full range of Lehramt programs initiated prior to WS 2012/13), and Wirtschaftspädagogik. We also offer the MA program "English, American and Anglophone Studies."

We offer a "Juniorstudium" and a "Starterstudium." Consult Dr. Bruno von Lutz, one of our undergraduate advisors, for more information. General questions can also be directed toward Frau Dagmar Weber at juniorstudium(at)uni-saarland.de.

Student Handbooks

Our Student Handbooks provide detailed information on degrees and exam procedures (where applicable). The university has begun archiving all of the relevant program descriptions, requirements, and handbooks at a central location. You will find many of these documents linked below in addition to other important documents important for the various degree programs in our department.

Written and published on the occasion of the WS 2011/12 event, "Einführungsveranstaltung in das Studium der Anglistik für Erstsemester," our new handbook is a helpful guide to those seeking information on all aspects of organizing their studies.
