The AMASE Master  is an international study programme in the field of advanced Materials Science and Engineering which takes two years. It was established by the AMASE Consortium of four partner universities: Saarland University (Germany), Luleå Technical University (Sweden), Barcelona Tech (Spain), Université de Lorraine (France). Through this agreement participating students can obtain a Master’s Degree, which leads to a double degree.

Participation costs per semester

1.500 €/ EU students;

4.500 €/ non-EU students*


*The participation costs for non-EU students who started in the wintersemester 2015/16 and in the wintersemester 2016/17 will not change and therefore still amount to 4.000€ per semester. The participation costs rise to 4.500€ for non-EU students starting their studies in the wintersemester of 2017/18.

New Erasmus Mundus scholarships for AMASE available from 2017

The AMASE Master Programme has again been selected for funding within the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree action (ERASMUS+).

In total 60 scholarships are given, 20 for each edition with a total funding about 2.923.000 €. During the application process, 89 projects were eligible and 27 have been selected for funding.

The new online application for the intake 2017/18 will start in October.
