description of all partner universities
Besides the five partner univerities, 20 associated partners from academia, research and industry take part in DocMASE.
Aim:
The aim of DocMASE is to provide a high-level research structure for the best students from Europe and the world. Research projects organised in close cooperation by two universities of the consortium will be offered. Co-mentorship is an integral part of the project, thus students will be assigned an advisor from each university where he/she carries out the research work.
Students can opt for an academic or an industrial focus in their research. Throughout the PhD, doctoral students are required to go to one of the partner universities for at least six months, and additionally to one of the associated partners for at least two weeks.
Erasmus Mundus:
DocMASE was selected in a very competitive process in the Erasmus Mundus Programme. Starting in the winter semester 2011, DocMASE will be able to deliver between 6 to 10 Erasmus Mundus scholarships for the best applicants from EU and non-EU countries.
A European Certificate of Excellence will be awarded to PhD students who engage in different international activities, such as a stay at the partner institution, summer schools, workshops, etc.
The application process will start on December 1st.
