My AMASE-master experience
When I have been accepted to start the AMASE-master in Barcelona, I thought in the opportunity to travel in Europe, to meet people of different cultures and to learn other languages. But, even if it is happened, even if my entire Erasmus Mundus story is culturally rich, I have never thought in the friendship that I would enjoy and that is my best milestone from AMASE. This experience has encouraged me to always search a synergy with others, not only professionally but personally also.
Today, I am living in Nancy, France; doing my PhD in solid-mechanics at the University of Strasbourg and; working on a project with the Public Research Centre Henri Tudor in Luxembourg. In this way, I keep the European way-of-life developed during the AMASE experience, working on materials science. In my professional experience the scientific skills learnt during the AMASE-master are kindly important on my actual work.
Finally, the values developed in my Erasmus-Mundus activity have shown to me the importance of partnership, perseverance and passion for science. These values with a bit of discipline are, for me, the main needs to do a successful high-quality master in Europe as AMASE.
Truly yours

Adventurous, mind-broadening and fun-making are three most suitable words to describe my AMASE experience.
Adventurous: landing in a country like Germany which I had only seen on TV before, finding somewhere to stay with my pigeon German and then moving to a totally different country like France just after one year, who can say that this is not adventurous? Not only is the settling down part of my AMASE life full of adventure, but also is the studying part. I´ve never thought or even imagined that one day I could set through a lecture on “processing engineering of materials development and treatment” in French. But in fact, I did. And not only just one lecture in French but I survived all the lectures in German or French during the whole AMASE study.
Mind-broadening: the AMASE family is just like a miniature United Nations. I had the pleasure to study with people from different parts of the world such as Germany, America, Thailand, and Peru etc. “Culture clashing” was really a daily-based event but in a fantastically good way. AMASE not only offers the opportunity to broaden my mind culturally but also intellectually. The courses offered by the program kept me up with the cutting-edge technology and the recent developments in the materials science.
Last but not least, fun-making: exploring the fascinating scientific world during daytime and “researching” exciting cultural events in the spare time, isn´t that fun or what? AMASE does make materials matter, but more importantly it makes fun.
