The team of Jörg Weissmüller explores current issues in the nanosciences, motivated by the strive to develop novel functional and structural nanomaterials. Focus topics are the mechanics and thermodynamics of interfaces in solids and of electrode surfaces, phase transformations, magnetism and magnetic neutron scattering, and the mechanisms of plastic deformation.
