Professor of Inorganic Solid State Chemistry

The working group of Prof. Kickelbick focuses on the chemistry of inorganic-organic hybrid materials and nanocomposites and the preparation and characterization of surface-functionalized nanoparticles. 

The main research areas are:

• Preparation and characterisation of inorganic nanoparticles and their surface-functionalisation
• Embedding of nanoparticles into organic polymers
• Inorganic-organic hybrid materials
• Fundamentals of the sol-gel process
