Allemand (Licence/Bachelor)

The French section within Saarland University’s Department of German Language and Literature offers French-speaking and German students the opportunity to complete part of a French degree in German studies in Saarbrücken. Students are able to complete the third year of the French Licence (corresponding to a ‘Bachelor’ qualification) and then continue with a two-year Master’s programme.

The academic year begins in the winter semester and follows the standard French study regulations. The relevant academic programme is always published before the academic year commences. The courses are taught in either French or German by French and German-speaking members of the academic staff. Some of the modules are also integrated into the German Bachelor’s degree programme 'German Language and Literature'.
