- Knowledge of biblical, historical, systematic and practical theology;
- Methodological skills (historical-critical method, linguistic analyses, literature studies, systematic analyses, hermeneutics and practical skills) for analysing and working with religious phenomena;
- Ability to reflect on and present arguments relating to central issues within the Christian tradition and their ethical relevance;
- Personal independent awareness of theological problems and the competence to render judgements;
- Ability to analyse contemporary social challenges faced by theology;
- Critical understanding of the functions of religion in history and at the present time;
- Ability to contribute to interreligious dialogue.
