Physics (Bachelor)

The Department of Physics at Saarland University offers a three-year B.Sc. programme in physics. The programme aims to provide students with a solid grounding in physical science that meets international standards.

The theoretical part of the programme covers lectures courses and problem-solving classes in mathematics, classical mechanics, electrodynamics, quantum mechanics and statistical physics. The lectures courses in the field of experimental physics provide students with a broad overview of the properties and behaviour of materials and radiation. The integrated laboratory courses enable students to consolidate the knowledge acquired in the lecture courses.

Students on the B.Sc. programme can also select a number of elective modules with a more interdisciplinary or specialized focus.
