Sufficient funds must be available to cover the cost of living during your period of study. Currently, the average expenditure of a student is approximately €550 per month. We do not recommend that students arrive in Germany before adequate funding for the entire period of study has been secured.

Saarland University does not offer scholarships or bursaries. Information on the numerous scholarship programmes available can be obtained from the German embassies and consular offices abroad, and from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
