Opening of the "Centre Universitaire d'Études Supérieures de Hombourg" for students of medicine, initially under the auspices of the University of Nancy.

At the meeting of the Administrative Board in Paris, the following resolutions were passed:

  • the College of Higher Education was to be transformed into a university
  • Founding of Saarland University
