If you have to pass the Assessment Test (FSP)

Example 1:

You have a good knowledge of German (based on your placement test result):

• you will be admitted to the 1st or 2nd semester of the focus courses and take the Assessment Test at the end of the 2nd semester.
• as a rule, you can repeat every semester once
• your language and scientific training at the Studienkolleg last 1, 2, 3, or 4 semesters.

Example 2:

You have no or little previous knowledge of German (based on your placement test result):

• you can attend the level I-course (DK I) for one semester and, at the end of it, if you have reached a good result in another placement test, you will be admitted to the 1st or 2nd semester of the M- or T-course and take the Assessment test at the end of the 2nd semester.
• as a rule, you can repeat every semester once.
• your language and scientific training at the Studienkolleg last 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 semesters.

It is also possible to take an exam in one subject before taking the exams in other subjects. We will advise you on the different possibilities in the Studienkolleg.
