
If you have to pass the German language Proficiency test (DSH)
Example 1:
You have a very good knowledge of German (based on your placement test result):
- you can take the DSH at the next possible date without attending the Studienkolleg courses.
Example 2:
You have a good knowledge of German (based on your placement test result):
- you can attend the level II-course (DK II) for one semester and take the DSH at the end of it.
- you can repeat the level II-courses once.
- your language training at the Studienkolleg lasts one to two semesters.
Example 3:
You have no or little previous knowledge of German (based on your placement test result):
- you can attend the level I-course (DK I) for one semester and, at the end of it, if you have reached a good result in another placement test, you will be admitted to the level II-courses and take the DSH at the end of the 2nd semester.
- as a rule, you can repeat level I and level II-courses once.
- your language training at the Studienkolleg lasts 2, 3 or 4 semesters.
