The degree course Applied Linguistics and Translating/Interpreting consists of two foreign languages and an optional supplementary subject. Students with German as their basic language choose their foreign languages from English, French, Italian, Russian and Spanish.
In addition, it is possible for francophone students to obtain the degree Diplom-Übersetzer (the degree in translating) or Diplom-Dolmetscher (the degree in interpreting) with German and English as their first and second foreign language. Basic language of the francophone course is French.
