• March 18, 2007: Cognitive Science Workshop for PhD students: As a special event for young researchers, the Society for Cognitive Science is organizing an interdisciplinary workshop for PhD students as part of the KogWis2007. This one-day workshop will take place before the beginning of the conference on Sunday, March 18, 2007 on the campus of Saarland University. PhD students focusing on the fields of artificial intelligence, linguistics, philosophy, and psychology will have the opportunity to present their ongoing research projects and to discuss them with their peers as well as with prominent researchers from their fields. Those interested should submit their applications, including an abstract of no more than 200 words, by October 10, 2006 (keyword: Workshop for PhD students; further information can be found under contributions). Applicants will be notified about their acceptance by November 11, 2006. Those accepted for participation will have the opportunity to publish a two-page description of their PhD project in the conference volume. The participation fee for the workshop and the conference is 80 €; the fee for members of the Society for Cognitive Sciences is 50€ (for further information, see registration).
