Agnes Weiß studied pharmacy at the Friedrich - Alexander University Erlangen Nuremberg and graduated in October 2012. During the practical year she spent six months in the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Trinity College Dublin in Ireland. After approbation as a pharmacist, she worked in a public pharmacy. From April 2014 until June 2018 she did her PhD-Thesis about “Hydrophilic Drug Delivery based on Gelatin Nanoparticles” at our group. Starting at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology and Biopharmaceutics of the Philipps University of Marburg and since 2015 at the Institute for Biopharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology at Saarland University. Her special interest is about the Formulation development of gelatin Nanoparticles and their characterization. Particular the mechanical properties tested by scanning probe microscopy and the influence to particle-cell interactions and furthermore the structural analysis of composite nanoparticles.
Formulation development and optimization of gelatine nanoparticles as well as their characterization and visualization (Scanning Electron and Atomic Force Microscopy, CLSM and analytical TEM).
Elastic characteristics of Nanoparticles and the influence to the particle-cell interaction.
