Curriculum Vitae:

Salma was graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt in 2010. She was appointed as a teaching assistant at the Department of Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University in 2011 and she obtained her Master degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2017. Her Master thesis is entitled “Colloidal carriers for transdermal delivery of curcumin” in which she exploited curcumin loaded ultradeformable nanovesicles and chitosan nanoparticles for transdermal application. In 2018, she was granted a full PhD scholarship from the GERLS (German Egyptian Research Long-term Scholarship) Program which is co-funded by the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst). She started her doctoral research in the Schneider’s group in 2019.

Research Topic:

Development of nanoparticulate-based pulmonary delivery systems for lung cancer treatment
