Professional and Scientific Background

In 2018, Alexandra Lampke received her B.A. in German-French Studies (Deutsch-Französische Studien: Grenzüberschreitende Kommunikation und Kooperation) from Saarland University and the University of Lorraine (Metz), followed by her Master's Degree in European Studies from the University of Passau and the University of Strasbourg in 2021. In May 2021, Alexandra Lampke has joined the working group as a PhD candidate, as well as as a project coordinator and manager for the joint research project "Linking Borderlands: Dynamics of Cross-Border Peripheries". Prior to joining the research group, she gained hands-on experience through internships at the Trinational Eurodistrict Basel, and the Office of the Stuttgart Region in Brussels.

Research interests

Her research interests include energy transitions in borderlands, cross-border cooperation, and links between European politics and political crises in EU border regions.
