Organizational aspects of your course at ISZ Saar (updated on 30 october)

Due to the decisions of Saarland University on 29 October 2020 (evening), all our German courses from 2 November 2020 onwards will be held in online format for the entire winter semester 2020/21.
Therefore, participants should make sure that they have technical equipment (PC, laptop, tablet) suitable for online modus and functioning Internet access. Unfortunately, ISZ Saar cannot provide such equipment!

Duration of courses

2 November 2020 to 5 February 2021

 

Extended registration period (finished)

1 September to 18 October 2020 (only online!)
Registration is no longer possible.

Language proficiency test

A placement test must be passed online before admission to the courses. You will receive the link to the placement test after registration. The placement test must be taken online and must be completed by (attention extended period!) Tuesday, 20 October, 12 p.m./noon (deadline) at the latest.

Course fees

All courses are free of charge for UdS students, doctoral students and postdocs of the UdS.
All other participants must pay per course:

  • Beginner's course: 150 Euro / semester
  • General language Course: 100 Euro / semester
  • Special skills course: 50 Euro / Semester

You pay the course fee(s) upon receiving the invoice in the first weeks of class.

Please note!

When you apply, you can state a preference for a particular course. We will make every effort to try and get you a place on your preferred course. In all other courses that you select, we can only offer you a place if places are still available.
There is no guarantee of a place when you register or write the placement test.

Please note! If you miss the first session of the course without any excuse, you will automatically lose your place!  Please send your apologies to deutschkurse(at)isz.uni-saarland.de

The test results of all placement tests and the classification into courses will be communicated to you by e-mail.
