Language of instruction

Our courses are taught in German and English. Students who wish to participate in certain German-language courses must demonstrate proficiency in German (at least level B2 of the CEFRL). In the other German-language courses, however, the teachers can respond flexibly to the language skills of the participants. It is also always possible to switch briefly to English if you have questions or want to sum up what has been said.

Certificate of attendance, ECTS credits, Key Competencies Certificate 'Scientific Skills'

As part of our cooperation with the Key Competencies Programme (Schlüsselkompetenzen-Programm) offered by the Centre for Lifelong Learning and University Didactics (ZelL-ZeSH) at Saarland University, you can earn a certificate of attendance by participating in specific courses and you can also acquire ECTS credits for certain degree programmes and subject areas. It is also possible to receive the Key Competences Certificate (Schlüsselkompetenzen-Zertifikat) by participating in courses amounting to 30 AE. More information is available here.
