In collaboration with the Université de Strasbourg in France, Saarland University offers a bi-national Master's programme in Biology. The programme brings together the strengths of two different education systems: solid theoretical training in combination with high-end experimental lab work.

Students enrolled in the French-German programme spend the first year studying at their home institution and the second year at the partner university. All modules and examinations are fully recognized by the respective partner university.

Students successfully completing the programme will be awarded a German-French double Master's degree. Graduates from the bi-national scheme will have the opportunity to continue their studies as part of a bi-national doctoral research programme.

The programme is partially funded by the Franco-German University.
