Fellowships
At the heart of the Käte Hamburger Research Centre is its fellowship programme. Each year, Saarland University will host up to 12 international scholars from the field of cultural and social studies. These research fellows will collaborate with the centre's directors and academic staff to examine how reparations are negotiated in culture and society and how the processes of cultural reparation can alter perceptions of the world, influence self-conceptions and self-representations and change ways of life. In addition, the Käte Hamburger Research Centre will support a number of artists in residence as fellows.
The fellows will be directly involved in the research centre's events and publications and can actively help to shape the centre's research programme.
The call for fellowship applications for the year 2024/2025 will be published in the autumn of 2023.
