Information for teaching staff
In order for students to continue with their education in the coming summer semester, we as university teachers will need to rely extensively on digital and online teaching and learning tools. The University Board strongly urges all members of the teaching staff to make use of the available digital teaching resources and remote learning technologies. Online and blended learning should be the standard method of delivering lecture courses and seminars, and possibly other teaching activities. Software solutions suitable for remote learning include the online learning management system Moodle and – particularly for interactive formats – the communication and collaboration platform Microsoft Teams.
If a particular teaching activity or examination can only be conducted when students are physically present, the relevant ordinance published by the Saarland state government requires compliance with the hygiene practices recommended by the Robert Koch Institute and with the provisions of the university’s pandemic response plan.
