"Lunch in the Lab" meetings


"Lunch in the Lab"
meetings are interdisciplinary visits of laboratories and institutes on the campus with sponsored fingerfood - organized by "GradUS global".

Every event includes a presentation of the research carried out in a particular laboratory or institute at Saarland University as well as a guided tour through interesting laboratories - and sponsored fingerfood for all participants.

Every event is meant to address an interdisciplinary audience of doctoral researchers to give them the chance to get to know interesting research environments and facilities at Saarland University and to exchange with young and advanced scientists from other fields.

Interested doctoral researchers from all disciplines are invited to join!

First event

  • Visit of the INM - Leibniz Institute for New Materials 
  • Date: 29th May 2015
  • Time: 11.00-13.00 hrs.
  • Programme:
    • 11.00-12.30 hrs.: Presentation by Prof. Dr. Roland Bennewitz, guided tour through the institute
    • 12.30-13.00 hrs.: Sponsored fingerfood in the institute, informal discussions and networking


Second event
:

  • Visit of the Institute for Sports and Preventive Medicine
  • Date: 18th June 2015
  • Time: 11.00-13.00 hrs.
  • Programme:
    • 11.00-12.00 hrs.: Presentation by Prof. Dr. Tim Meyer (he is one of the physicians who take care of Germany's national team in Football), guided tour through the institute, presentation of performance diagnostics
    • 12.00 hrs.: Sponsored fingerfood in the institute, informal discussions and networking
    • 12.30-13.00 hrs.: Guided tour through the Olympiastützpunkt
