Managing meetings

Managing meetings effectively

Meetings do not only take up much of our academic time. Many even respond to a meeting invitation with a weary sigh, as they do not expect anything from it but boredom, ineffectiveness, and a loss of precious time. On the other hand, meetings can be extremely productive, provided they are properly planned and run.

The present workshop focuses on the use of techniques which ensure that meetings are conducted in minimum time with maximum effect. The participants will deal with the following topics:

  • Planning a meeting: invitation and agenda
  • Running a meeting: dealing with distractions / conversation management
  • Follow-up: ensuring results and implementation

Working language: English

This workshop is sponsored by the DAAD project "GradUS global".
