20.01.2025 – Submission of two tutor certificates for the same module and degree programme

The Informatics department allows students to acquire a second tutoring certificate as counting toward “the free selectable module” for a module in which a prior tutoring certificate has already been obtained.

To obtain a second tutoring certificate in the same module, students must undertake duties with a higher level of responsibility compared to those associated with the first certificate. The increased level of responsibility must be clearly indicated in the title of the second tutoring certificate amongst other things.

11.03.2026 – Change to progress monitoring: Removal of monitoring after the first semester

The examination boards of the department of Computer Science have decided that, within the framework of progress monitoring pursuant to Section 10 of the joint examination regulations of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, the monitoring after the first semester for Bachelor's and Master's students in the study programmes of the department of computer science will no longer be carried out with immediate effect from the 2025/26 winter semester.

The progress monitoring, which will be carried out for the winter semester 2025/26, will therefore begin with a check to see whether 18 CP for Bachelor's students or 30 CP for Master's students have been achieved after the second semester. If students have received a first letter after the summer semester 2025 and have again failed to reach the CP threshold after the second semester, the first letter will be considered void. Students will receive the first letter again as part of the progress monitoring.
