The research-oriented Master’s program in mathematics covers in-depth content from the following areas over the course of four semesters:

• Algebra, Geometry, and Number Theory
• Analysis
• Mathematical Data Analysis
• Numerical Methods
• Stochastics

There is close collaboration with the Department of Computer Science and the Max Planck Institute for Computer Science in the areas of discrete mathematics, complexity theory, and algorithmic geometry.
