FIFA Sudden Death Registry

The FIFA Sudden Death Registry is a data-protected online database under the auspices of FIFA and operated by the Institute for Sports and Preventive Medicine Saarbrücken.

The following open access online questionnaire allows coaches, players, physicians, family members, referees and other people involved to report a case of SCD or survived sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). Any case of a football player, regardless of playing level, can be reported. Data collection is enabled in an anonymized manner (except contact details of the reporting person). Besides basic information (age, gender, ethnicity, date, country) the questionnaire focuses on the circumstances of sudden death of a football player.
