Save the Date: Saarland's universities will welcome guests to the University Ball on 10 October 2026
The University Ball made its spectacular return on 11 October 2025 at E WERK in Saarbrücken.
Continuing the tradition, Saarland's universities will invite students, staff and anyone from the region who loves to dance to the University Ball on the second Saturday in October of each year. We look forward to sharing this opportunity to network and exchange ideas in a friendly atmosphere, whether on the dance floor, while wandering the foyer or relaxing in the lounge.
Sparkasse Saarbrücken is the largest of the six local Sparkasse savings banks in Saarland. Sparkasse is one of the leading savings banks in southwestern Germany with over 160 years of history. In addition to its core mission of providing a broad range of financial services, Sparkasse Saarbrücken is also a strong supporter of regional culture, as evidenced by initiatives such as the Vereinspreis award for non-profit organizations as well as the 1.4 million euros in sponsorships and 750,000 euros in donations it provided in 2024.
The Saarland University Society aims to bring academics, staff and students at Saarland University into closer contact with alumni and sponsors, creating a network composed of a broad range of representatives from industry, politics and business that not only benefits Saarland University but everyone involved in the network. Through its events, the platform it offers on social media to exchange thoughts on relevant topics and its regular newsletter, the Saarland University Society brings together everyone who wants to ensure a lively and successful future for the university.
