Admission Requirements

Access to the graduate school is open to all registered doctoral candidates of the UdS and UKS, who are working on natural products during their doctoral thesis and meet the admission criteria:

  • Candidates should have completed their studies (diploma, master's, or state examination) in one of the following subjects: chemistry, biochemistry, biology, biotechnology, or pharmacy within the standard period of study.

 

 

Application

Interested doctoral students can apply at any time. The application is submitted in writing to the coordinator  of the graduate school. While it is intended to admit doctoral students to the graduate school at the beginning of their doctoral studies, more advanced doctoral students may also be admitted. Doctoral Students should participate in the graduate school for at least one year before there are eligible for receiving a certificate.

    • Letter of motivation (1 page max)

    • Copy of degree certificate (Master of Science of equivalent)

    • Transcript of records (duration of studies and year group grades overview)

    • Recommendation letter from the supervisor or leader of the research group (maximum one page in length, with clear indication of university affiliation and status as principal investigator)
