Research

Quantum Technology is a rapidly developing, interdisciplinary field of research with potentially disruptive applications in information processing, communication, and computing. At the Center for Quantum Technology (QuTe) at Saarland University, a team from the fields of Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, and Physics is conducting research in two main areas:

  • Quantum Information Theory: the development of Quantum Algorithms and software for Quantum Computers
  • Quantum Engineering: the development of scalable Quantum Systems and their interfaces

The close partnership with the Helmholtz-Forschungszentrum Jülich (FZJ) offers unique opportunities for joint projects, networking, and access to state-of-the-art HPC and Quantum Computing resources.
