Research
Quantum technology is a rapidly developing, interdisciplinary field of research with potentially disruptive applications in information processing, communication, and computing. At the Center for Quantum Technology (QuTe) at Saarland University, a dynamic, interdisciplinary team from the fields of Computer Science, engineering, Mathematics, and Physics is conducting research in two main areas:
- Quantum engineering, the development of practical quantum systems for communication, computing, and sensing
- Quantum software, the development of quantum algorithms and software for quantum computers.
The close partnership with the Helmholtz Research Center Jülich offers unique opportunities for joint projects, networking, and access to state-of-the-art HPC and quantum computing resources.
The Center for Quantum Technologies (QuTe) is supported by the Transformation Program Research and Knowledge Transfer Saar.
