Founded in 2025, the Center for Language, Cognition and Computation (CLaCC) is dedicated to advancing research and teaching at the intersection of language, cognitive science, and computational modeling, focusing on the cognitive and communicative processes underlying language use. Building on a longstanding tradition of collaborative research at UdS, we promote state-of-the-art empirical approaches to the study of language, text, and communication, integrating corpus-based and experimental methods with computational modeling.

ClaCC’s involves three faculties of UdS: the Philosophical Faculty (P), the Faculty of Human Sciences (HW), and the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics (MI). ClaCC members are active in collaborative projects and entertain close collaborative links to other centers on campus, notably SIC.
