Our lab investigates the molecular mechanisms that shape bacterial interactions in environmental and host-associated microbiomes, and explores how these mechanisms can be harnessed for synthetic biology, biotechnology, and microbiome engineering.
Bachelor’s and Master’s students are very welcome to contact us about research projects in the lab.
We also welcome inquiries from PhD students and postdoctoral researchers. We are particularly interested in researchers with expertise in natural products chemistry, including the isolation and structural elucidation of small molecules and modified peptides; structural biology, including cryo-EM and crystallography; and microbiology or molecular biology, particularly bacterial genetics and work with non-model organisms. Experience with anaerobic bacteria is desirable but not required.
If our research interests overlap with yours, please send us your CV and a short description (0.5–1 page) of your background, research experience, and interests.
