Preliminary Course Mathematics for Economists

Course Description

A solid foundation in mathematics is essential for successfully completing a degree in economics, as it plays a key role in many introductory courses and is often assumed as prior knowledge.
The aim of this preliminary course is to help first-year students get off to a good start by reviewing core mathematical concepts from upper secondary school.

Target Group

The pre-course is aimed at all first-year students of economics.
We recommend it for all students, who are required to take the module Mathematics for Economists as part of their degree programme (e.g. Business Administration, Digital Business Administration, Economics and Law, or Business Education).

Organisation & Dates

The course takes place in the week before the start of the winter semester (6 October 2025 – 10 October 2025).

  • Group Tutorials: 13.00 - 15.00, Bldg. B4.1, different Rooms (see Roomplan)

There is no need to register for the tutorial groups in advance.
