Step 1: Choosing a subject

What can I study at Saarland University?

As a prospective international student you can choose from the full range of degree programmes available at Saarland University (Bachelor's, Staatsexamen, and Master's programmes) – provided, of course, that you meet the relevant entry requirements. Some doctoral research candidates work independently under the supervision of a professor who advises them on their thesis and research work; others apply for a place on a PhD programme at one of our graduate schools or research training centres.

International foundation programme (VSI MINT)

Preparatory courses in German, Mathematics and Physics

The international foundation programme has been designed to enable candidates who do not have a recognized higher education entrance qualification and whose German is not yet proficient enough for normal study to join Saarland University's special Bachelor Plus MINT programme. International applicants who successfully complete the VSI MINT programme are eligible to begin the orientation phase at Saarland University or at htw saar.
