Legal informatics is a discipline at the intersection of Law and Computer Science: How do legal requirements affect information technology? How can IT solutions simplify or even re-shape legal work? How can interdisciplinary collaborations ensure that both disciplines are considered when developing IT systems?

The Chair of Legal Informatics, headed by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christoph Sorge, works on numerous research questions in these areas. The main focus is on issues surrounding data protection and IT security.

Hinweis zum Programm des Recht und Technik Workshops

Im Programm des Workshops "Recht und Technik - Datenschutz im Diskurs" bei der GI-Jahrestagung ist ein Fehler aufgetreten. Auch der letzte Vortrag "Verarbeitung personenbezogener Daten in KI-Reallaboren nach dem KI-VO-E als Herausforderung für den datenschutzrechtlichen Zweckbindungsgrundsatz" von Hendrik Link und Jan-Philipp Stroscher wird 40 Minuten dauern, wie die anderen Vorträge. Wir bitten den Fehler zu entschuldigen. Das nachfolgende Programm wird entsprechend angespasst.
