Open Positions

Open positions in Membrane Cell Biology, Biochemistry, and Biophysics

Funded by an ERC consolidator grant, we have a number of open positions. We are looking for postdoctoral fellows and graduate students. The positions will be filled initially for three years. We offer the possibility for extension after qualification and successful evaluation.

You will investigate membrane quality control and the crosstalk of proteins and lipids in health and disease. We use interdisciplinary approaches at the cross-section of cell biology, biochemistry, synthetic biology, and biophysics. Our team is embedded in an international network of cooperations seeking to answer fundamental questions regarding the adaptation of cells to acute and chronic stress as a basis of cellular resilience.

You should be an experimentalist who is excited to work across disciplines with a strong interest in quantitative approaches to biology. Experience in mammalian cell culture, microscopy, membrane biophysics, and membrane protein reconstitution are preferred. You will work on exciting, groundbreaking scientific questions in a friendly, supportive team. We offer state-of-the-art equipment and an apple workstation/notebook with all necessary scientific/office software to support your inter-disciplinary work.
