Reading Group
We host a weekly Sports Analytics Reading Group, a forum dedicated to discussing key literature at the intersection of sport science, data science, and analytics. We aim to motivate ourselves as well as all interested students and partners to continuously read recent literature in sports analytics and/or other insightful material. The reading group is highly recommended for anyone interested in learning more about sports analytics; in particular, students interested in writing a thesis in sports analytics or pursuing a PhD project are encouraged to join.
When?
Every Monday, 8:00–9:00 AM
Format:
Weekly discussion of pre-shared papers and book chapters.
Current Focus:
We alternate every two weeks between a chapter from Daniel Kahneman’s Thinking, Fast and Slow and a sports analytics research paper. This combines theoretical perspectives on decision-making with practical, data-driven insights.
