Teaching

Our Philosophy

The Department of Sports Analytics sits at the dynamic cross-section of Informatics, Mathematics, and Sports Science. We're dedicated to training the next generation of sports professionals who can bridge the gap between complex data and real-world athletic problems.

In our courses, we focus on teaching students how to analyze sport using rigorous quantitative methods and educate data-literate sports scientists and data scientists in sports. We focus on developing the skills to manage, process, and interpret large-scale datasets, transforming them into strategic advantages for athletes, teams, and organizations.

Through a curriculum that blends statistical theory, programming, and deep sports knowledge, we ensure our graduates are equipped not only to understand the demands of sport but to use data as a fundamental tool for observation, evaluation, and innovation.
