Professional career

  • Since July 2023: Research assistant (Postdoc) at the Chair of Sociology with a focus on Europe at Saarland University.
  • 2018 - 2023: Research assistant (PhD) at the Institute of Political Science at the University of Luxembourg.
  • 2017 - 2018: M.A. in European Political and Governance Studies at the College of Europe in Bruges.
  • 2015 - 2017: M.A. in European Governance at the University of Luxembourg.
  • 2011 - 2014: B.A. in Franco-German Studies: Cross-border Communication and Cooperation at Saarland University and Université de Lorraine in Metz.

Research focus

His research focuses on the political economy of European integration (in particular the impact of crises on the structure of EU financial assistance and institutional developments in the area of Economic and
Monetary Union). He has also conducted research on solidarity in the EU and on banking union.

In 2023, he completed his PhD at the University of Luxembourg with the title '50 Years of Crises: the Development of the European Financial Assistance Regime'.
