Welcome to our chair

Non-Destructive Testing is a discipline which allows to evaluate the current damage stage of materials as well as components non-invasively on the basis of different physical principles. These principles are related to optical, vibrational, acoustical, electromagnetical and thermal effects. The derived or developed methods can be powerful tools for the characterization of materials and components as well as for the defect detection in the quality assurance, either in the production process or for materials and components under service loads.
