Dr. Varsha Suresh

I am affiliated in Prof. Vera Demberg’s group as a postdoctoral researcher since May 1st, 2024. I am also affiliated with the DFG-funded SFB-1102 project "Information Density and Linguistic Encoding" working on project B2 "Cognitive modelling of information density for discourse relations".

My research largely focuses on building knowledge-augmented language models to improve language understanding tasks. At present, I am also interested in developing multimodal language models. This involves using gestures, body language, and speech features to further enhance language understanding.
