Promotionsprojekt

Promotionsthema: “Memorie delle cose avvenute nella Città di Crema al mio tempo dall’anno 1574 al 1653: Edition and linguistic analysis of ms. 245 of the Municipal Library of Crema “Clara Gallini””

The research aims to produce a critical edition of the manuscript and a linguistic analysis focusing on the evolution and local features of Crema’s variety of Italian between the late sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries. The first phase will include bibliographical research and the identification of comparable texts to build a reference corpus. Ultimately, the study will highlight distinctive linguistic traits of Crema within the broader framework of Early Modern Italian.
