Internship for Bachelor's Students
The overarching objective of the internship is to gradually introduce undergraduate students to academic research methods as well as to the practical procedures of academic chair activities.
This is achieved through active involvement in ongoing research projects conducted by the academic staff and through support in teaching activities, for example in the preparation of teaching materials, the organization and preparation of courses, or other administrative tasks related to teaching. In addition, the independent work on selected research questions may also be part of the internship.
The specific tasks depend on the current research and teaching priorities of the chair.
The total workload comprises 180 hours. Working hours (on-site presence, total duration of the internship, vacation periods, examination periods, and internship scheduling) are individually coordinated with the respective supervisor at the chair.
Upon completion of the internship, students should be able to:
- critically engage with international academic literature in the field of Technology and Innovation Management
- differentiate between relevant theoretical frameworks
independently carry out initial academic research steps and apply them in both research and teaching contexts
If you are interested in an internship and would like to inquire about possible research and chair-related topics, please contact Ms. Franziska Janz (franziska.janz(at)uni-saarland.de) in due time (at least two months prior to the desired start date) by submitting your application documents.
