Selection process

If the number of applications exceeds the number of places at a given partner university, we will select candidates according to the following criteria:

  • Motivation
  • Subject (students from our department take precedence, but students from other departments are free to apply, as we are also in charge of placing students from other subject areas).
  • Number of semesters (students in higher semesters take precedence)
  • Language skills (e.g. first or second foreign language)

I have been accepted – what’s next?

The Erasmus Office will get in touch with the respective partner university and will forward the selected applicants’ names and addresses. The host university will then contact you. You will receive the forms to be filled in and relevant information about study and language courses, dates and deadlines, accommodation etc. That means you have been registered as an incoming student with the partner university.
