Erasmus+ internship application

How do I apply?

  • First check if you fulfil the programme requirements.
  • Then, find an internship that also fulfils the programme requirements.
  • Finally, apply for Erasmus+ funding as described below.

When is the application deadline?

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. However, we must receive your application at least four weeks before the start of your internship. We accept applications no earlier than three months before the start of your internship.

Where do I apply?

The documents mentioned in the section above must be uploaded to our dedicated online portal.

Please comply with the following rules when using the application portal: 

  • Log in to the portal using the same log-in data that you use to access MS Teams via your Saarland University account. Do not use a different email address!
  • Please ensure that all of the information you provide is complete and correct.
  • Do not fill in the form on your mobile phone.

What happens after I apply?

  • Your application will be reviewed by the Erasmus+ internship team.
  • If any documents are missing or have not been filled in correctly, you will receive an e-mail explaining why and asking you to replace or complete the documents in the online application.
  • You will receive a request to fill in the follow-up form to submit your bank details.
  • Once all documents are complete, we will send you a PDF of your grant agreement by email. Sign the grant agreement (digital signatures are allowed) and then upload the document in PDF format to the online portal under the follow-up form “Updating my mobility information” under “Before the stay”. 

Extension

Should you decide to extend your internship, please send us the ‘During the Mobility’ section of your learning agreement signed by your host company, organization or research institution at least two weeks before the extension is due to begin. Please confirm that you will continue to have adequate insurance cover for the period of the extension and send us an updated insurance declaration.
