Due to the upcoming planned adjustment of Saarland state government’s Ordinance on Combating the Coronavirus Pandemic coming into effect on 11 December 2021, basically allows the university to offer face-to-face teaching. Due to the development of the pandemic situation, the Presidium of University has decided to reduce face-to-face teaching, to offer face-to-face courses in a targeted manner and to use more hybrid and digital teaching. The 2G rule (vaccinated, convalescent) applies to classroom teaching. For face-to-face examinations, practical formats such as laboratory and workshop practicals and in libraries, the 3G rule applies. For all university locations, compliance with and proof of the 3G rules is mandatory, as is the wearing of a medical mouth-nose protection if a safe distance is not possible.
