subject matter
The course focuses on the development of reading competence (reading strategies, knowledge of text types, etc.) esp. of academic texts in the field of German as a foreign and second language. Based on short videos and questionnaires, the reading behavior of experts as well as the students' own reading behavior will be discussed. Selected texts from the 'reading list' form the basis for this. Afterwards, every two weeks one text is read, presented by a participant (structure, central contents, evaluation) and finally a summary is written.
