Non-German applicants with a foreign higher education entrance qualification:

You will first need to obtain preliminary review documentation from uni-assist. Exceptions: You do not need preliminary review documentation if you want to apply to one of the two English-taught bachelor programs (B.Sc. Computer Science (English) or B. Sc. Cybersecurity (English)), or if you want to join a Master's programme, or if you are seeking higher-level entry to a first-degree programme or if you are planning to undertake doctoral studies.

If the preliminary review documentation indicates that you will need to take a higher education assessment test at a Studienkolleg, you can still apply for a place on the Saarland University foundation programme.

If you already have pre-screening documentation, you can apply directly via our applicant portal www.uni-saarland.de/en/study/application/first-degree/direct.html.

Non-German applicants with a German higher education entrance qualification:

Depending on the subject you wish to study, you will need to submit your application either directly to Saarland University or via hochschulstart.de.
